Matthew Jacobs Morgan is a British writer-director. He was included in Deadline’s list of Eight Rising TV Scribes To Watch Out For In 2021 and has just been on the HBO/ Bad Robot adaptation of JOHN CONSTANTINE as a contributing writer and co- producer. He is currently a contributing writer on DOPE GIRLS (BBC/ Bad Wolf). His other writing credits include THE RIG - Amazon Studios/Wild Mercury and the London Critics Circle and Iris Prize nominated POMPEII (Film4/Try Hard Productions).
His other developments include a blind script deal with AMC Studios, a book adaptation with Amazon Studios UK/Bright Star Films (producers of THE POWER OF THE DOG) and two script commissions for the BBC/Tiger Aspect Productions and his first feature LOCO PARENTIS with the BFI, produced by Joy Gharoro Akpojotor and was included in the BRIT LIST 2022. In 2018 he was part of 4Screenwriting and the BFI Flare mentorship where his mentor was John Cameron Mitchell (HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH). As an actor, Matthew is represented by Curtis Brown and his credits include PURE (Channel 4), WASTED (Channel 4/Hulu) and STARSTRUCK (BBC3/HBO Max). Alongside this, Matthew releases queer focused music under the name JACOBS MORGAN, and has been featured in various publications including Kaltblut.
